Tender and Procurement Information

View the Logan City Council ‘Doing Business with Council‘ page for more information on Procurement.

Tendering

Logan City Council’s tender process plays an important role in the economic development of the City of Logan.

Under the Local Government Act, Council is required to advertise contracts worth more than $220,000 via public tender. Current tenders are available via Council’s online tender portal – TenderLink.

It is recommended if a business is looking for opportunities to supply goods, services or works to Council then they should register on the TenderLink website to review all tender opportunities, free of charge.

Council has a policy to use suppliers based in Logan City wherever possible, and is a keen supporter of economic development in the city.

Procurement

Logan City Council’s e-Procurement process is designed to boost the local economy and drive business to local suppliers.

VendorPanel Marketplace is used by Council employees when there is no preferred or pre-qualified supplier arrangement in place and where the intended expenditure is below $220,000 (inclusive of GST).

At the heart of this solution, Logan City Council is trying to make it easier for Council staff to engage with local businesses and the open market by giving small to medium enterprises better access to Council procurement opportunities and increase governance and transparency in the quotation process.

The e-Procurement system is an opportunity for businesses in the open market to have their goods and services seen by Council, it’s free for suppliers to register and is easy to use.

Businesses can register by visiting the VendorPanel Marketplace website and following the simple 5 step process.

For more information on the VendorPanel Marketplace system please contact the Logan City Council Corporate Procurement Program on 07 3412 5841 or the VendorPanel support team on 03 9095 6181.
