Leadership Excellence Series

This module of the excellence series focuses on Leadership.

This leadership module will assist you in bringing out the best in others by applying and adapting your leadership style and managing the conditions that drive individual and team performance.

• What leaders really do: The challenge of combining strong leadership and management.
• Leading by being mindful: Self-Awareness and Self-Regulation.
• Leading people: Building a supportive and positive organisation.
• Dealing with adversity.

You will walk away with:

• Participants will explore key mindset and behaviours that help the leaders both envision the future and harness the will and skill to change.
• The sessions are built to respond to participants’ real challenges and will be designed to be relevant to participants’ workplace.
• Participants will receive key tools and frameworks for action.

Participant Profile

Typically, participants will be small to medium-sized business owners and managers of business functions.

Participant Eligibility

To qualify as an eligible participant, individuals must meet the following criteria:

• Be an employee within a small, medium, or large manufacturing business in Queensland.
• Work in an industry where manufacturing involves the transformative process of converting a resource or commodity into another product or consumable item.
• Manufacturing capabilities include, but are not limited to:
  • General Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Aerospace and Defence
  • Food and Beverage
  • Chemicals, Hydrocarbon, and Refining
  • Furnishings and Other Products
  • Meat and Seafood Processing
  • Textiles, Clothing, and Footwear
  • Printing and Graphic Arts
  • Pulp, Paper, and Packaging
  • Polymers, Plastic, and Rubber
  • Pharmaceuticals and Medical Technology
  • Renewables and Low Carbon
  • Timber and Wood
  • Supporting Capabilities including Laboratory Operations, Sustainability, and Process Plant Operations
• Not be an apprentice or trainee.

Eligible Participants: no cost

Non-Eligible Participants: $250
