This first session will provide an introduction to support available for defence projects in an interview style with one of our Defence Industry Facilitators. We will also interview a Defence Prime, Boeing Defence Australia to provide an insight into what a major prime is looking for in its suppliers.
To lift your profile in the defence sector in 2021 and avail yourself of the opportunities of support including the Centre for Defence Industry Capability join in for an hour of power on the 25th of March.
Joining the panel is the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) team from Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) which is the Boeing Company’s largest international subsidiary and is headquartered in Brisbane with more than 2,500 employees at 14 Australian sites and three international locations.
Designing, developing and supporting some of the largest and most complex programs for the Commonwealth of Australia, the Australian Defence Force, and international commercial and defence customers, Boeings’ core markets in Australia are:
• Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA)
• Communications and networks
• Joint systems
• Mission systems
• Sustainment operations
BDA also has Emerging Markets and are developing capabilities in new markets of intelligence surveillance reconnaissance/electronic warfare (ISR/EW), autonomous systems, maritime and SATCOM/space.

Alison Everett, Defence Industry Facilitator , Centre for Defence Industry Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group , Department of Defence will talk about the support that is on offer for business to enter into the Defence industry.
Alison has been with the CDIC since its inception in 2016. The role provides small and medium businesses guidance on opportunities and entry points in the Defence market, information on the Who, When, What and How of Defence procurement and programs, and how businesses can access Defence industry grants and development programs.
